No Games Until September

I have just checked my pre orders and realised after Killzone Vita in 10 days, I have nothing else on order until September :-O

I will still be buying games like Dirt Showdown and Max Payne 3 but there is nothing coming out that screams out at me, to be totally honest this is great for me as i still have loads of games i need to finish. My current gaming time is taken up by Far Cry 2 (Im trying to get the platinum) and Starhawk. Checking in my pile of games i still have Ghost Recon Future Soldier and LA Noire sealed and waiting for me to play :-\

With the likes of BattleField 3, Mass Effect 3 and Uncharted 3 still waiting to be finished im starting to think i have bitten off more then i can chew.

I have 3 hours a day of PS3 or 360 gaming during the week and if I’m lucky a few more hours on the weekend, not including my 2 hours a day on my Vita during lunch and breaks at work. Unfortunately with me being on night shift 15 weeks of the year I have 15 weeks a year of next to no gaming an hour a day if I can find the time.

Plastation 3 Colours

In April i decided to get myself a new controller, and looking on the internet i found a perfect colour for me. With the new Scarlet PS3 being released this month it had me thinking, will the other colours be coming to the UK? In Japan there are loads of colours, and some are limited editions. In the UK you can currently get Black, Silver, White and Scarlet.

In Japan you can get all of the above, and you can also get Blue and The Limited Editions. Out of all the colours I have seen, my favourite is the Candy Blue which surprise surprise is the colour of the controller I bought. I wouldn’t get a limited edition as most of them have a picture for the games they are designed for on. Now will the blue one come to the UK i hope so but im not holding my breath.

My New Vita Games (Birthday Gifts)

Well it was my birthday the other day and I asked for a couple of PS Vita games, Everybody’s Golf and Little Deviants, being a family man and at that age where birthdays are just another day I spent the day in soft play with my son and didn’t have a chance to play until late on in the day, the first game i played was Little Deviants.

Little Deviants

Not a bad game I like mini game games like frobisher says (Wario Ware Style Game) but this game is more like a promo for all the control features the Vita has. To be honest there a little over sensitive which in some games is great but in others, not so much. You start with two unlocked games Rolling pastures where you use the rear touch pad to move the ground and make your deviant roll around the map collecting stars and keys, I found this game very sensitive as the rear touch screen was  either on or off no in between. The second is Botz Invasion you use the rear camera and augmented reality to shot robots out of the sky as they try and grab your Deviants. I like this game although you need to be able to turn totally around in order to see the Botz. Every time you get a medal in game you unlock a new game i could go into all the details of all the games I have unlocked but I think its best for you just to try the Demo first. I have read other peoples thoughts on the game and I agree with there opinion of the game being like a promotion for the device features rather then a fully thought out game. I think for a game under £20 you will have fun and get more used to the controls the more you play, others say avoid this game but I like it and would recommend it if you don’t mind waiting to unlock the better games. I would rate this game 3/5 until you unlock more games and it raises to 4/5.

After a few hours of playing Little Deviants I Jumped on Everybody’s Golf.

I play Everybody’s Golf World Tour on my PS3 ages ago and loved it, and in my opinion its the best golf game out there. The Vita version does the franchise proud with all the features from the original game and all in your hand, controls are easy, and even for a beginner easy to get used to. plenty of courses and unlockables to buy with your in game credit, leader board to try and beat your friends score and online multiplayer. I would give it a 4.5/5 rating.

Out of the two I find Everybody’s Golf the most fun to play but Little Deviants is fun to fill 10 mins now and again.

Is Pirate Bay only for Pirates (Piracy)

Pirate Bay Logo

With the news of the Pirate Bay case and the court order for UK ISP’s to block use of the site, i can’t stop thinking is Pirate Bay only for Piracy. I can’t remember using the site but I have no doubt in the past I probably have. I used to use torrents a lot in the past not for piracy, although I have probably downloaded unlicensed applications, music and films before, and belive it or not there are sites that use torrents for non illegal stuff freeware like linux OS’s to name but one. Now I read comments from people saying that its a disgrace, I’m not so sure. I do and don’t agree with ISP’s having to stop the site, I think its up to the Music, Game and film companies to protect there products, although on the other hand its up to the ISP’s to stop illegal use of the internet. All this said, with this site going down wont another site just pop up? For every torrent site they take down a new one will just pop up. Also with the decision they are opening the flood gate for more internet censorship, what will they stop next, social media, pornography maybe Wikipedia.

Virgin Media Pirate Bay Message

As a virgin media user I will no longer be able to use the site, and as I have said I don’t use the site anyway, so I will not be affected by any of this. But if i wanted to i could just use OpenDNS and bypass virginmedias DNS.

What do you think, should the ISP’s have been ordered to block TPB, is this internet censorship gone too far and is Pirate Bay only for Pirate’s (Piracy)?
