Hitman Absolution Finally

image

Last week I had a chance to finally start playing Hitman Absolution, I have only had it since release so Β£40 not so well spent (it’s now Β£15), yet again. I haven’t played Hitman for ages so it is good to see that it’s still as good as the originals, I don’t think they have deviated much from the originals but it great fun to play. I only managed to play the first 3 missions and I replayed the second one to see about unlocking the unlockable’s and it seems they follow on so you can unlock them all over a few play throughs.

I normally play through a mission fast killing everyone and finding secret passages and hidden, I love doing this its a kind of stress release as killing them at point blank in the face going into slow motion and thinking wow. It is a gruesome game and very bloody but not in a bad way, I wouldn’t like my nephews (12 and 9) to play it. The story so far is great but I can’t see myself playing more then once through the full game unless it gets a lot more action packed.

I got this on release and played the sniper challenge before playing, I lost all my saves due to my ps3 dying on me therefore I lost a lot of unlocks. I restarted but really couldn’t be bothered to try and get the top score again. I also haven’t seen where to select your guns at the start of the mission’s I can only assume you are cant :-\

If anyone reading this knows how to select weapons please leave a comment below.

Can’t wait to have another couple of spare hours to get this game finished.

Minecraft Mindcrack in the twilight YOLO

image

Weeks in and me and my minecraft buddy decided to unleash hell in the twilight forest, so far we are loosing. A square hole filled with water surrounded by flowers, throw in a diamond and Crash! A strike of lightning and your portal is open, Inside you will discover just how vast minecraft can be. Mounds full of creatures and ghosts, labyrinths full of minotaurs and slime, forests full of wolves. The only thing keeping us alive is our electric jet packs, chainsaws, diamond drills and lappacks. Hours in and we are still barely keeping our heads above water.

When we first entered we discovered the greatest tree in minecraft thanks to the Feed the Beast mod the twilight oak, this monster of a tree stands around 100 blocks high and around 8 blocks wide itΒ  has a hollowed middle for those of you who want to climb to the top for a view of the surrounding area. The only real problem is the Skeleton Druid which spawn in the druid houses scattered all over the twilight, they poison you as it fires poisoned balls form there golden hoe. These are easily slain and tbh easy to avoid using the jet pack.

The mounds are full to the brim with ores and precious stones, also there’s around 10 chest scattered around the inside. There is a constant spawn of zombies, skeletons, ghosts, fire beetle and pinch beetle aswell as the random redcap goblin and Kobold. This sounds dangerous and if your not vigilant it is, we have died more times in the short time in the twilight then we have in any other place in minecraft combined.

The labyrinths probably hold the greatest treasures, these are protected by minotaurs and slime with the usual mobs kicking about. They are made up of maze stone one of the only blocks capable of killing a diamond drill and turtle. There’s 2 levels to each labyrinths and it’s a maze to find your way down, the main boss is a minotaur/mooshroom combined Minoshroom with a huge damage hit one hit will kill you unless you have armour on. Scattered around each level is numerous chests some protected by TNT traps. In each labyrinth is a hidden treasures room surrounded by the maze stone it’s almost impossible to penetrate and the fact it is also surrounded by TNT traps it’s impossible to get in to the chests inside. We have tried two and not succeeded in getting in.

We haven’t entered a Lich tower or found a Hydra, yet, Maybe we will find one this weekend.

Anyone else played Mindcrack? I’m a little addicted and the extras add a totally new element to Minecraft.

Arma 3 Alpha Supporter

image

In January I built a new budget gaming rig and shortly after I a bought Arma2 to play the DayZ mod. As a console player and having loved the Operation Flashpoint series I was constantly told Arma2 was the its bigger better brother and after playing I found they were right. I kept my eyes open for Arma 3 and on March the 5th the alpha became available I was so excited that I instantly bought it from Steam.

Graphics and models have been greatly improved from the originals and I can already tell it’s a winner. It’s only in alpha stage and going of YouTube and Twitter everyone is loving it. Due to my life being a bit hectic the past few weeks I haven’t been able to get on as much as I would like.

I’m hoping to get a few nights on it this week so fingers crossed πŸ˜‰

Minecraft Feed The Beast – Mindcrack

image

A few weeks ago I started playing minecraft feed the Beast, I received an invite from a friend to join a server running the Mindcrack Mod. From the start I did what I would normally do make a small building and start gathering food and Mining. A little way in and I met my friend and looked around his base, he had all sorts of machines and tools. If you haven’t already played minecraft it is very addictive, but due to most community servers having finished the game you basically end up just doing the basics, slowly making your way towards the end which has already been finished.

The Mindcrack server I’m playing on has just had to reset due to a few problems. This although bad for the players that were playing was great for me as a new user, although I’m still playing catchup πŸ˜€ with the elite 10 hours a day players. Due to the reset no one has been to the end and therefore I can see the end being finished if I wish.

If your new to FTB and are lost it soon comes easy to remember which tools to use and what machines do what job. If your really struggling I would suggest watching a few YouTube videos there’s hundreds of then on there and they help you along the way and some will teach you how to do things better.
